How to create a new tax rate

Open the taxes section

Go to Administration → Taxes → Create New.

Enter tax data

Specify: tax name (e.g., VAT 21%), code, classifier, and rate in percentage.

Save

Click Save. The tax will be available in product cards.


Tax Types

What tax rates are used in Lithuania

The following standard VAT rates apply in Lithuania:

Standard VAT 21%

Applies to most goods and services.

Reduced VAT 9%

Applies to books, periodicals, passenger transport, accommodation services.

Reduced VAT 5%

Applies to medicines, medical products, some food products.

VAT 0%

Applies to exports, international passenger transport.

How to assign taxes to products

Open the product card

Go to Products → Products and select a product.

Select tax type

In the Tax Type section, select the appropriate VAT rate from the list.

Save

Click Save. The tax will be automatically added to the product price.

You can set a default tax rate that will be automatically assigned to new products.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should prices be with or without VAT?

In the Paysera POS system, you enter prices without VAT. The system automatically calculates and adds the tax according to the selected rate.

How do I change the tax rate for multiple products?

Go to Administration → Taxes, change the rate, and all products with this tax will be automatically updated.
